Dog Photography: How to Get the Pic
Meet Hogan and Demon! These two little male miniature pinscher dogs are not only adorable, but they have some of the greatest pictures. Why? Because their mothers take the time to do it right. No point and snap for these ladies. They work with their dogs on a regular basis and from an early age to get these kinds of pictures!
We asked Hogan's mom if she had any tips she could share and we're happy to say that the Australian mommy said yes! She said, "I think the best advice/ tips I could give would be . . . Lots of treats and plenty of praise !!!" Here are her main tips for you:
Start Young ~ "I started taking lots of pictures of Hogan since we got him as a baby and these days he is familiar with the camera."
Keep Them Interested ~ "I always hold some treats in my hand when photographing Hogan. I also hold the treat in my hand and guide him to wear I would like him to pose for me . . . I only release the treat after the photo has been taken ~ It works most of the time."
Make Them Happy ~ "I also carry on and give lots of kisses and cuddles after a photograph . . . Hence, Hogan actually finds the whole photographing process lots of fun !!!"
